The lightbulb went off... at that time I went looking for an alternative to the crappy cardboard bread and Pepperage Farms kindly came up with a whole grain Oatmeal bread with the best all around numbers of ANY other breads and is VERY pallet-able.... More recently I had to get Really serious about cholesterol and Blood pressure and such Kashi has some VERY good hot Oatmeal Flavors I Never ate the crap before but was told it was the best thing for your cholesterol. so I just hada blood test last week, My total Cholesterol was 128 mg/dL while 125-200 is Normal My HDL was low at 28 mg/ dL Normal is > or = to 40 mg/dL and this was due to me not taking my vitamins.. (duh Me) MY Triglycerides 147 Normal should be < 150 mg/dl and My LDL was 71 Normal should be < 130 mg/dL MY LDL 6 months ago was almost 200 too I've been watching the salt and other Blood pressure issues BUT really only oatmeal every couple of days Like I said Kashi has some great Flavors too steel rolled Oats are best but it will make a BIG differance

try taking fish oil pills...they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which help to lower LDL's and raise HDL's. this is sometimes recommended for people before starting on the statins.
