Any vegetarian/ vegan muslim people?

Just to know if there are some muslim people that are revolted by the horrifying "hallal" way, and the sacrifices...(when is this gonna stop???)

Just some general info before more abusive and/or idiotic posts happen. (note: you asses who say Muslims are gonna rule the world are just as bad as the american supremacists who call you 'Abdul's.)

There are VERY strict provisions for a Halal slaughter. Such as:
1) The animal may ONLY be slaughtered for food and it must be done in God's name and under his permission- basically loonies who kill cows for fun, thats not cool with Muslims.

2) The animal has to be healthy and I think full grown. And lawful---not stolen etc.

3) The slaughter has to be carried out by a person who knows what he's doing, is in good health himself, and clear minded.

4) The instrument of slaughter (knife, etc.) must be VERY VERY VERY sharp. Think scalpel sharp. And clean. And should not be made visible to the animal.

5) A quick, clean, deep cut must be made across the neck. This causes practically instant loss of conciousness. Apparently animals slaughtered correctly dont struggle or flail AT ALL(this surprised even me when I found out!) as one would expect if they were concious or in pain.

I think the whole point of the Halal method of slaughtering is to respect the animals and ensure minimal stress/pain occurs. I'd rather eat halal meat then venison that someone shot over a weekend.

I'm not saying that all meat claiming to be halal is slaughtered in the correct halal manner. But in that case its not halal(right?) and the people responsible are probably really pissing God off.

And to answer your quesiton :). While they're not exclusively vegetarian, my mum and sister both avoid meat. My mum more because she just doesnt really like meat. My sister though dislikes the whole animal cruelty aspect. And yes, they are practicing Muslims (and omg not a single one of us is named Abdul. And omg again, we're half white. Sorry, I'm being snarky. But some people just really piss me off and I cant resort to any racial/religious slurs because odds are I probably have relatives and friends of that particular race/religion.). I myself have thought about going vegetarian because of the whole killing animals thing. And plus, its so easy now to have a well balanced vegetarian diet...but problem is I do enjoy a good steak =S. With onions on the side!

And THAT is the end of my semi-rant.

There is absolutely nothing horrifying about halal slaughter. I know, I've witnessed it many times.
Go to a slaughter house and watch the beasts being stunned, then watch a halal slaughter. Nothing to choose. If you yourself are vegetarian/vegan, then you're already prejudiced, so why pick on the Halal/Kosher method of slaughtering animals?
I know at least one person from a predominately Muslim country who is vegetarian, although he himself is not strictly Muslim.

the point of halal is that it odesnt hurt the animal
thats the idea and thats thier religion that if you have to eat meat thats the way you have to do it
its better than doing it any otherway (but dont agree with the message about stunning them first half the time it doesnt work and how would you feel about getting a bolt shoved in your head)

but i would love to know if treating animals right extends to factory farming

of course there is no such a thing in the Islamic world vegan or vegetarian the only thing they do is eat meet and talk about hate their interpretation of the Koran is to hate the world and the woman they eat the whole night and sleep the whole day they don't digest the meet they eat have no intresting ideas the petrol is just floting and they don't have to use they brainless to make money

I don't think sacrifice should stop and will not stop....as it is our god ( ALLAH, the great) that told us to make sacrifices...And Islam would never end....!!!!

And also It is not just Muslim people that do sacrifices, Jewish people as well...even the Christians as well should do sacrifices as well as it is in the old and first Bible...

As we are people of the Book.
