no medications, just supplements. go to vitamin shoppe and check out the aisles for weight gaining and do it naturally. what used to work for me was a meatball Parmesan hero and a nutriment protein shake. but remember to still take your multi-vitamins also...

Try steroids. No, seriously. Perscription steroids like Prednisone will drastically increase your appetite. I've been put on steroids for very long stretches many times, and as a result I gain a lot of weight. I'm not sure if it's entirely healthy, though, because there are side effects that go along with them. I'm sure there's probably a safer alternative, I just wanted to throw my two bits in.

There is a medication, non prescription, brand name Periactin, chemical name Ciproheptadine. Used to increase appetite and most people gain weight on it. Was originally used for allergies but can help in migraine. It is not very famous but in sense amazing. No prescription needed in Canada.
Other medications cause weight gain but unfortunately is not a good way (like cortisone causing water retention.)

i have been trying to gain weight for years and people always say im crazy. glad to see im not the only one. the only thing i know of is the weight gain supplements at the GNC store. to gain my weight i got some of those cans of ensure and drank two a day. one for breakfast (don't like to eat early in the morning) and one after dinner. i gained 10-12 lbs. in about month. but u have to stay at it because us thin people have a high metabolism and i stopped once for a couple weeks (ensure got expensive) and lost a few lbs. Good Luck

There is a pill that they give to the elderly when they are close to dying to increase the appetite. I don't know what it is called but I know someone who got it accidentally from the Internet and she puffed up BIG TIME! But now she has lost the weight after a lot of exercise!

You can drink weight gaining protein shakes.
Look at the sumo wrestlers - they eat lots of carbs and other foods and they don't have any problems.

I don't think medication, per se, but there are vitamin supplements. I would check with a doctor though.
