I am eating Malteasers at the moment.....but I have some handmade chocolates and three pieces of handmade chocolate honeycomb, which are gifts for my friends, which I would be delighted to share with you if it were possible. You would love them I'm sure. I had a piece of the chocolate honeycomb and it was out of this world. I didn't have any of the chocolate sweets but they look delicious.

You see I was in a shop today that sells only handmade chocolates. I have passed it many time on my way to a health food hall but as it did not look inviting I didn't go in there untill today.

What a surprise.... It is quite small. When you enter there is a counter the full length of the wall on the righthand side and on the counter are trays of every type of sweet you could imagine and at the end there are large trays with different types of slab chocolate (like tray bakes) which the lady breaks into chunky slices. Everything is protected by glass from the front. The sweets and chocolate slices are sold by weight and are a bit expensive but make a lovely gift. You could also buy a little chocolate container and have it filled with whatever sweets you like.Opposite the door there is a small counter only about 4ft wide where you are served and on there were three trays of chocolate brownies, chocolate toffee cake, and one called American lazy cake. On that same wall there was a tall glass display cabinet full of different types of exotic sweets that I had never seen before. I completely forget what was along the other wall as I was so taken with the choices to be made. There were two small round tables in the center of the floor which would only seat two each so I suppose it must be possible to order tea or coffee. I don't know. The fourth wall was almost taken up with the shop window and door. The shop is like a little jewel.

Ooooh, I'm pregnant & I've been craving chocolate for a couple days, but the good ones, the fancy ones you know? live Valentine's day chocolates in the fancy box!!!
And my dream came true! My husband (a pastry chef) had his friend come over (another pastry chef who works in a chocolaterie!!) and he brought me a whole bag full of chocolate candies!!! My Hero!
BLISS!!! I'd love to share, but you'll have to get here before I finish them off, so good I can't help myself!
(I think the baby's gonna be a chocaholic like his/her Mamma!)

I have Sainsbury's mint creme chocolate. It's very refreshing when working late on a dissertation, and I would gladly share.
