You should be able to find it at any herbal shop, go online and find some shops, they usually carry it, you just have to find the right one.

How about trying to contact someone in Vietnam, and asking them to send you a bit of the root through the post? Mint is notoriously difficult to establish from seed, but loves to encircle the globe through runners.
Hope you are not in Australia, they wouldn't be amused at introducing alien life forms!

im vietnamese, and its hard to find herbs to cook my food here in UK. depend on where u live but if u wanna grow it urself then best find a vietnamese restaurant,or vietnamese people and ask them,,i got a couple friends grow it themself..its quite good...grow inside! hope this help.
