Several years ago, a study was performed at the USDA, which revealed that blueberries are extremely high in an antioxidant (anthocyanin). Blueberries were by far the highest in antioxidant activity of the many fruits and vegetables that were studied. Another fruit extremely high in antioxidants is the blackberry. As we all know, dark skinned grapes are very high in an antioxidant called resveratrol. It seems that dark colored fruits are particularly high in antioxidants. Strawberries are also high in an antioxidant (I believe it was called elegaic acid).
Bananas are super high in potassium, which makes them good for the heart. Don't eat just a few fruits at the expense of the others. It really seems that, one way or another, practically every fruit is very good for the heart.
Although not usually thought of as fruits, I believe that tomatoes and avocados are technically fruits because they protect their seeds. Tomatoes are high in an antioxidant (the name escapes me at the moment). Avocados are so nutritious that they might be considered a "magic" fruit. If you look them up on the Internet, you will find that they are packed with all sorts of nutrients.

I think oats and grains are better for your heart than fruits, but I know that ounce for ounce, the kiwi is the most nutrient rich fruit out there. If you eat it with the skin on (ew, but my husband does it) you are even adding roughage to your digestive tract.
