I currently have the Pulmo-Aide and find it noisy and slow. But trying to compare others models is making me dizzy. Please help me pick the best one. Cost and size are not the main criteria; efficiency and lack of noise are. Thank you.

We currently have the Proneb Ultra for my 12 month old daughter with interstitial lung disease. Her pulmonologist insisted that be the one we got for her as it was "the best." It works well and is effective in helping the problem, but it is still quite noisy in my opinion. My son has a Pulmo-Aide for his asthma, and they sound pretty close to the same (Proneb Ultra might be a little bit quieter, but just a little). Our Proneb Ultra did come with a carrying bag and a spare, reusable, dishwasher friendly neb kit which I really like. Our Pulmo-Aide has no carrying bag and has those junky, disposable neb kits. Oh, and we've had to have our Pulmo-Aide repaired 4 times in 2 years time! No trouble yet with the Proneb Ultlra (we've had it for about 10 months). Hope this helps.

The Pari Trek S Combo is the fastest jet nebulizer on the market today. It is a lot quieter than traditional nebulizer, but not silent like a handheld ultrasonic nebulizer. Most insurances will pay for this nebulizer, it is about a quarter of the size of a regular compressor machine.

Or try the 914jet nebulizer kit, it delievers 0.30ml/minute. You can use it with the compressor you already have or with another such as the NE C-21, this compressor is made my omron, it runs pretty fast, as well as it is quiet like an ultrasonic nebulizer. Both of these products are made by omrom, the kit as well as this nebulizer, I am not sure who makes the first one I mentioned.

Best of Luck,
Kimberly, RRT
