CHRISTIANITY...To be a Christian is to believe without a doubt that Jesus Christ is the one true messiah, the one who fulfilled the prophecy, born in Bethlehem and died on the cross without 1 single bone broken then rose from the dead as Lord and Savior.
Those who believe in Christ and call themselves a Christian will obey Christ. Christians not only believe by faith that Jesus is God, they believe that He rose from the dead after dying for our sins but they believe He is the only way as recorded in the Holy Bible in John 14:6, also Romans 10 verse 9, if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
And in John 14:15 Jesus says...If you love me you will obey my commands.
A true Christian believes the Bible is the inspired Holy Word of God. Jesus came to conquer life and death, removing the keys of death from the fallen one Lucifer to save all who choose to believe in Him. Revelation 1 verses 17-18.
Many people claim to be Christians yet do not obey the word found in the Bible, continuing in sinful activity, believing that their belief of the truth alone is good enough.
A warning is given to them of what will happen on their day of judgment, Matthew 7: 21-25 "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants.... (continued passage in sources below)
A NON CHRISTIAN BELIEVER,
would be someone who believes Christianity to be the truth but has either rejected it or has put off making the commitment until a more convenient time, gambling on the promise of having another day. This person understands Christianity to be the truth but has chosen to reject Christ's teachings and to follow their will instead of will of God as written in the Bible. They also understand that this type of person is mentioned in Matthew 10:33 as one who has denied Jesus before men and will be denied by the Father in Heaven.
A Non-Christian believer is also described as being lukewarm, one who believes but isn't doing. A warning is found in Revelation 3 stating in verse14 And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then, because thou art luke-warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit thee out of my mouth:
The gift of salvation is free to those who choose to receive it. Ephesians 2 verse 8 2:8 God's grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn't come from anything you do. It is God's gift.

Christianity is a vague category of religious beliefs and traditions involving an historical person we call Jesus of Nazareth. I think a useful distinction to make is that they all believe that Jesus performed magical and holy acts termed "miracles", including his rising from death after his being tried and crucified as a criminal by the Romans. Also, they believe that his teachings are important. Central to being a Christian is some sort of belief in the Bible, a collection of old writings by various authors, some unknown, and in various languages. The Bible, of course, has been translated into many languages and Christianity, in its myriad forms, has virulently spread throughout a good third of the population, happily mutating all the while. Ironically, it was the Romans who did much to popularize this obscure oriental mystery cult. I suppose it's not ironic; rather it is fitting. Christianity is a religion of self-deprecation and abuse. Self-hate plus a persecution complex. If anyone could fall into that trap, it would be the Romans. After all, they kinda killed Jesus. Plus there was lots of lead in their diet. There are many who call themselves Christian, and many among them who call others amongst them non-Christian or sub-Christian or heretic or firewood. Whilst none of them agree on anything, they will put aside their differences when there's a good chance to impose their will on some other group.
That's what's key.

Christianity is a monotheistic[1] religion centered on Jesus of Nazareth, and on his life and teachings as presented in the New Testament.[2] Christians believe Jesus to be the Messiah and God incarnate and thus refer to him as Jesus Christ. With an estimated 2.1 billion adherents in 2001, Christianity is the world's largest religion.[3] It is the predominant religion in the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and large parts of Africa. It is also growing rapidly in Asia, particularly in China and South Korea, Northern Africa and the Middle East.

Christianity is based on belief in Jesus. That he died on the cross for the sins of mankind and rose from the dead on the 3rd day because He was the Son of God. If you do not share this belief then you are not a Christian. But, we should ALL respect others in their right to choose what they want to believe and never condemn others for their beliefs. Unfortunately, many Christians aren't very tolerant of the belief of others, but I always try to be.

Christians are those persons who regardless of 'sect' believe that Christ was the representation of God on earth.
Non-Christian beleivers are those who at one time believed what I just said above and now have chosen not to follow that belief.

Why is your question under entertaining? Just curious.
A Christian is someone who believes in Christ. That includes Catholics, Lutherans, etc.
If someone says that he or she is Christian, then he or she is Christian. End of story. It's not for other people to decide if someone is "Christian" or not.
