Well technically you could get cold sores from him, which is a form of herpes.
Cold sores are usually passed by kissing or being kissed by someone who has cold sores. You can also get cold sores by sharing drinks, chap stick, lip stick, cigarettes, etc. Anything that person has their lips on can potentially cause you to get it.
If he had a cold he could also pass that along to you by drinking out of your drink and then you drinking it.

It's a real long shot, that's why most people wont drink out of the same glass as someone else.

if he has herpes, it is possible to catch that from him, or if he has a cold virus or something, you can catch that......so yes, you can catch a disease from him if you continue to drink out of the same cup.

you cannot get herpes by he just drinking from yoru glass. unles he has a sore on his lips etc. cant apread herpes with your sliva, you have to have a sexual contact with that person to get it.
