Genital warts can appear on the outside of the vagina, on the inside and even on the cervix. Sometimes warts can be so small or so far inside the vagina the woman doesn't realize she has them.

So, no, you can't always see them.

Most people have no idea that the have this and they say that almost every sexual active person will develop some strain of the HPV virus at one point in their lives. Genital warts, which is one strain, does not go away.

Sometimes it can be seen but not always which is why this is the #1 STD out there today - same with men - it can be there but even moreso in men, there are often NO physical symptoms. This is also the STD that you can get even with "safe sex" since people get them on their thighs, butt, and other areas in that region that are not covered by a condom. They can be spread orally or genitally - and are very contagious. They are caused by the HPV virus which can show up many ways - this being one of them. This is also the STD that can lead to cervial cancer in women and so many people are unaware of the high risks associated with it.

They say it can look like small bumps or soft, moist, pink, or flesh-colored swellings,- sometime cauliflower like growths or none at all. They do not ooze - I saw that in another answer (Herpes can but not this one). It is still warts so think about a normal wart but more like in small clusters - they can appear in many ways. This is why getting tested before and after every new partner is so essential - cause you cannot tell by just looking - and they can even be contagious when there are not seen with the naked eye.

Answer is yes - but not always and they more often have no physical signs. After sexual contact with an infected person, warts may appear within weeks or months, or not at all. If they do not appear - it does not mean that you don't have them - you could and just show no signs ever or just no right away.

Yes.

Genital Warts

Genital warts form on the genitals of both men and women. This is a sexually transmitted disease that is caused by a virus known as HPV. HPV is of many types. Different types of HPV cause the warts on other areas of the body. HPV virus types that cause genital warts are different.

It is not necessary that you will get genital warts soon after contact with an affected person. Genital warts may not develop after the contact for months or sometimes years. But one, who gets them, becomes a silent carrier. That is how this disease is spreading rampantly in today's world. Find out more and save yourself from this problem.

yes and no.. It depends most warts are so small that you are not going to see them.. If she had had them for a while than the warts will be larger and more noticeable.. You will normally find them around the anus and on the outside of her lips..

You can if they appear on the outer genitals, however sometimes they are only visible upon a pelvic exam. Human papilloma virus (HPV) is the virus responsible for these warts, and remains in one's body for life. It impairs the immune system, making it harder to fight off other infections, and causes cervical cancer in women. It is contagious, even when warts are not visible.

It depends on if they are on the inside or out side of the Vagina. Most commonly they are on the inside, and not found until a Pap smear, and or vaginal exam is done.
