Please take half-a-teaspoon Neem oil and make it lukewarm. Add a pinch of camphor (kapoor). Mix this thoroughly. Apply this mixture on both the waist sides and chest. Please do this during night time and allow the child to sleep.

Now for the cough. Take half-a-teaspoon of Adhrak (Ginger) juice and add this to half-a-teaspoon of honey. Mix these thoroughly. Apply this mixture inside the throat thrice a day and this will stop coughing.

All said and done, please do consult a Doctor.

I just went through this with my son... I tried homeopathic cough syrups and while one did work it was my last resort! I had a humidifier going and if it's a warm one (not sure if it works with cold ones) I put a couple drops of eucalyptus oil in the little spot where you can put stuff. If you don't have a little resevoir you can put a couple drops on the shower wall and run HOT water and sit in the bathroom. It's not the most pleasant smelling but it even helped my congestion (I'm 32 weeks pregnant!) Applying vicks to the feet really works for our son. Some people say not to do it, but for us it works!! My other fav thing to do when I'm congested and have a cough is hot lemon and honey. I couldn't get my son to try it! But it's about 2 teaspoons lemon juice and one heaping teaspoon of honey. I've tried 3 homeopathic cough syrups that claim to be good from 6 months and up and all three of them contain honey. Plus, they say after one year honey is ok to give should you choose to give it. I also recommend a saline nasal spray. Sometimes a bad cough can be caused by your sinus' draining down the back of your throat. So by cleaning out the sinus's it may help. We use hydrasense. It's not pleasant and my son hates it, but it works! Good Luck!

I once suffered from Chronic Bronchitis. I would suffer sometimes 3 to 4 times per year! Usually when there was a major change in the pressure outside (I live in the north, and the temperature spikes and dips do wonders to chronic sufferers of bronchitis!). Each time I would get horrible hacking coughs, hoarking up green phlegm..it was so frustrating!

The key to getting rid of your bronchitis is to find a way to completely eliminate the germs that are causing all the phlegm and irritation leading to your hoarking cough and heavy breathing. Keep reading to learn how to do kill these germs!!

This page it will change your life and make you feel 100% better within just 24 hours!

well nothing will stop the coughing completely, not until the anitbiotics take full effect, but steam, put a couple tsps of salt in the water, childrens vics..chest and back, keep her neck and chest warm..honey and chamomile tea..get it to luke warm temp. if she prefers a bottle give it to her that way. keep a humidifier running...if you don't have one...great childhood investment!! can't tell you how many times i've needed one. Chicken noodle soup, through a straw if she has to, it will clear her up temp. so she may be able to eat something more..as much clear fluids as possible, because this will help keep her air ways clear...also im not sure how you feel about giving a 2 yr old coffee but a couple of tsps will open up her air ways a bit...it works for asthma too. Also haven't seen them recently, but those get better bear lollipops...they really help sooth the throat.

there is a supplement that is available online (w/NO persrciption)
that is a true decongestant that is used in almost all cough syrups

NAC N-Acetyl Cysteine is what is used as a decongestant
I use it for my asthma and I hardly EVER use my asthma inhalor

also a high water in take is VERY important as well
NAC works by literally breaking mucos bonds down on a moleculer level
My asthma symtoms are almost non existant now

I would also recommend taking Vitamin C TWICE A DAY
about 250 mg - 500 mg per dose
this is a water soluable supplement so it is only in the system for about 45-60 minutes
Vitamin C works so well if you remember they made an attempt to make this a PERSCRIPTION DRUG back about 30-40 years ago

Bronchitis can quickly develop into pneumonia. You have GOT to take your child to the doctor TODAY. Don't mess with the health of a 2 year old. They are too fragile. Good luck!

Yes, boil steam immediately, put salt in the steam.
Get some mild cherry vicks salve, rub on childs back and chest, but dont let cold air hit the child or take outdoors with this on.
mash carrots up good and put honey on them.
Keep the room moist, serve the child warm liquids, warm foods.

Agree with the above suggestions to alleviate smptoms (except the honey, good for adults, bad for little kids) but if you want a CURE, you need to get in to see the doctor and get her on an antibiotic. Push fluids, more important than eating right now. (Juice, water, stay away from sugary drinks) Go see her doc.

Go into the bathroom and turn on the shower on hot. Close the bathroom door and take your child in there with you. Sit in the bathroom with the steam as long as you can get the child to sit in there with you. This will help with the lungs.

But you really need to call the doctor today and get the child seen. It will probably have to be put on a nebulizer.
