Ring your nearest family planing or hospital and ask for the g.u.m clinic number this way it dos not go on your file you don't have to give your real name nothing gets sent to your doctor you are known by a number everyone there is there for the same reason.
good luck .

your doing the right thing I think what that she is scared to know if she does but she does need to go in and check it out likein a clinic or a doctor's office. Some STD's are life threatening some can mess up your insides not make you have babies and others can make you have cancer. So it's very important that she goes in. Do you know that over 75% of the pop. has a an STD but some don't know cause some don't experience any symptoms or you can see anything to me that is scary. You can get checked out but there is a chance that you do have one but they don't find anything cause no symptoms have occured yet. But to me I think that would be scary cause the not knowing part. So everyone always use a condom know matter what.

You need to convince her that living with an untreated STD is more dangerous than visiting a local clinic. Convince her that she worth everything under the sun to all the people that love and care about her and the sooner she starts treatment the better she will be.

Your a very caring friend and your an awesome person for asking for help for her. She should be very thankful she has you in her life.

Tell her that it is not something to be embarrassed about, these things are very common and remind her that the doctor will not tell anyone and no one will know why she went to the doctor. STD's are very common, most people will be touched by one at some point in their lives.

STD's are very dangerous if left untreated and can lead to pain, infertility, and even death. It is best to get it checked out and fixed up right away. Most are easy to cure, with just a few antibiotics.

I think the best thing you can do is be supportive as a friend. She can also visit her GP or see the nurse which will be available for a private consultation. Just tell her that if she thinks she has an STD it's best to check it out soon as it can be serious, and some STD's can lead to further infections and infertility. It's embarressing but a better choice than waiting for it to get worse. Tell her atleast her mind will be put to rest. hope that helps at all.

If your friend has a STD and leaves it untreated, she could be in for a lot of problems physically and emotionally. The best way to approach the subject with her is to be armed with a vast amount of medical information regarding STD and the consequences if left untreated. After an exam to determine which STD is positive, treatment usually consists of oral medication to correct the situation.

The local clinic is a good idea you gave her its that or her Dr. at least at a clinic she can give a false name and info just call and see what they need before she goes. But she HAS to go it is so important they can be dangerous if left untreated.....and to get her off her A** tell her they can be dangerous if if left untreated call the clinic and let them tell her they do not know who she is just to answer questions.

Help her get to a clinic out of town then, or try someplace like Planned Parenthood. Check their website for locations and services.

Your friend knows she needs to go - she's just scared. Be firm but gentle with her and tell her you're there for her. That's all you can do.
