Getting off the BC pill?

Question

How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got off the pill? I was on Seasonale (period once every 4 months). This would be my first cycle by myself to ovulate/menustrate. I haven't started and I have the symptoms of being pregnant. If I was "regular"--which I have been all my life on/off BC pills, could I be pregnant. I have taken 3 PT test (2 before period- 1 day of missed period). Should I wait it out or call my Dr.

It took me over 2 yrs to get pregnant after bc. But not everyone is like this. I would wait until 7 days after the first day of your missed cycle. At this point take a pregnancy test. If it comes up even remotely positive, make an appt with your ob for a test. If it comes up negative, and you think you are pregnant, wait an additional 10 days, and take another home test. If nothing, you probably aren't pregnant, and it's your body's way of 'cleansing' itself of the hormones you were taking.

You have to give yourself a year to become regular again. All those hormones have to leave your body. A little tip you are most likely to conceive 14-19 days after your period starts. If you don't become regular you should go see your doctor. Also another suggestion, get on the pill.(the regular one.) It will regulate your periods. Just for like 3 months and then stop. I went off BC in November i got pregnant in Febuary! The EPT tests worked 100% accurate for me. I tested neg my first time got a second opinion at the docs. Then I tested pos twice the next month and got a second at the docs. Im 36 weeks with my first! I think it all depends on when your ovulating. I didnt think I was ganna get pregnant so fast. i wasnt even off the pill when i got pregnant, but ive heard it doesnt take long, id call the doc just to be sure right away.
