Not knowing where you are its hard to say - My Choice would be North Cornwall, Unsure of Pricing but out of Season it should not be to Bad..Must warn you though if you like walking its very Hilly.. Have a nice time where ever you end up..

Go to Hull !!! It's a great place. In Hull they have the only Submarium in the world!! The people are really nice and very friendly. It uesd to be a fishing port but now it's really trendy and it's got a loads of history too. Charles the 1st was there during the civil war and in the the White Hart pub you can see the room where they conspired against him. The archeaology and museums are good too.

No competition:
Come to ULVERSTON!
(OK, so I'm biased, living here, but you'll have a lovely time. And the Southern Lake District is only 20-30 miles away, so you get the best of both worlds and don't have to pay Lake District B&B prices!)

Go to Bath and stay in the Royal Hotel and get their all inclusive package which is room and three meals a day- these are excellent meals with three courses per meal- and the service there is exceptional. I stayed 5 days earlier this year and the cost per day was less than other area hotels and included the meals. I saved a ton by staying with them. Plus they are very close to the train station and bus/coach station.

Here is a link to the page with short break prices--

Have fun on your trip!

I spent 4 days in a lovely place called Berrynarbour near Coombe Martin in North Devon. Stayed at a really lovely bed and Breakfast. Wonderful coast line and plenty of very good walks. Look it up on the net. Hope you enjoy yourself where ever you go.

Go to Liverpool! It's got a bit of everything!
Brill for a night out! Loads of tourist attractions! It won't be a peaceful holiday but if want a break with loads to do give it a try. Try the visitliverpool website.

Head for the Cotswolds, Burton-on-the-Water, and enjoy all the beautifully coloured autumnal leaves. There are several lovely pubs and B&Bs in the area at all varying price levels, so you can choose the just how cheap or expensive you want to go. Enjoy your break!
