...It is considered bad manners to enjoy something alone - when in the midst of several others.
...In a business meeting, your personal preference might prove distracting and irritating to some others - who would, naturally, be too polite to mention it to you.
If you try passing the chewing gums around, then you can find out from their impromptu responses - as to how your business associates inwardly react to your habit.
If, however, your 'business' itself involves manufacturing or marketing chewing gum, then of course, you'll be appreciated and applauded for your attitude !
[Of course, if you own the whole business, nobody will dare rate you as wrong.]

yup... it's wrong... you better chew it before the meeting... or not eat stinky stuff... or just brush your teeth :)). It's considered bad manners to do so, and if it's a girl doing this it's worse.. lol like someone else said... chew discretely and don't blow bubbles

It is rather tacky if you are obivous about it. ie chewing loudly or blowing bubbles. It is completey acceptable if you discreet about it especially if you has bad breath.
