well, the spirit is just like soul but the soul is the one that makes us closer to God. the soul makes us somehow one wtih God. the spirit is i think only the part of us that gives us life, but the soul gives us life and makes us feel one with God. animals only have a spirit but no soul because they are not created in the image of God unlike humans and that's what makes us special and unique from other liveng things. in short--- the spirit gives life to all living things but the soul is only found in humans and the soul has something to do with God and us, his people.

You can be a spirit and still be bad with no soul. The soul is something different. It is the truest forms of goodness. Of course pets have souls. More so than humans in today's world. You can't lose your soul and if you have not crossed over then you will be a spirit no matter if you have a soul or not.

The spirit is defined, in essence, as the unique spark God put into mankind as opposed to everything else... it is our conscience, our sentience, our desire for righteousness, the desire for all things to be good (ie lawful in the sight of God)... it is the evidence that we are made in the image of God, for God is a spirit.
The soul is defined, in essence, as the quality of being truly alive. It is literally defined as "breath". Although plants 'breathe' in a way, they do not breathe in the same sense as bugs, as animals, or as man does. All creatures are able to feel (both in a sensory and an emotional way), however, plants and other things are unable to. All creatures have thought processes to some extent, whereas plants and other things do not. The soul belongs to all things defined as a creature or mankind.
The soul and spirit are non-physical, and hence are immortal (in one way or another). They are also joined together (in the same sense as the physical body and the spark of life are joined together... when one goes, the other half goes too). However, while the soul is literally our life force, the spirit is, to begin with, a small aspect of life (due to our fallen nature), and it becomes ever smaller and more hidden from a person the farther they get from God (and inversely, larger and more apparent it is the closer they are to God).
While the knowledge of the spirit can be so small to a person, it can seem non-existant, but the fact is, it that it is still there. The moment they die, this will become readily apparent as they no longer know their physical form, but their spiritual form will be all that remains. The soul (which encompasses the mind, memory, personality, life force, and all other non-tangable yet undeniable aspects of human existance) will also be with the spirit.
Think of it this way. Your soul is who you are, and what makes you, you. Your spirit is a non-physical version of what you know your physical body to be, but also bears the traits that God gave mankind to show that we are in His image. When we die, we shall either meet God in our spiritual form, and enter into paradise that way, or we shall enter into Hell in such a spiritual form, depending on if the individual has accepted Jesus Christ's sacrifice on their behalf. Our physical bodies are merely shells that will one day be discarded.

there is a force. it is called the spirit of god, there a force it is called the power of the air. in the bible it says that the devil is the prince of the power of the air, there is a soul in each and every creature god made, some people call a soul a spirit, it is all the same, spirit.and soul in that regard, there is a force called life force, life energy , orgon energy, look up Wilhelm Reich, orgon energy. the ancients called it manna. some called it Parana. years ago. that is the life force of this planet. the spirit of god is different from life force, it is from god. all things have a consciousness. you can hook up an EEG machine to a plant. KILL the plant next to it, weeks later after many people walked by the plant that witnessed the killing and dist ruction of the plant that was next to it, the person that killed the plant will walk by and the EEG machine will register a major res ponce from the plant, it REMEMBERED the person who killed the other plant.I believe all things have a soul. god is a loving god, and loves all his creatures, souls are indestructible, a soul is a piece of god, god is indestructible, we are eternal souls.you chose what you wont to do with your soul .we have free will.god bless you.

God calls himself a Spirit in ... Genesis ! :a million interior the beginning up God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth replace into formless and empty, darkness replace into over the exterior of the deep, and the Spirit of God replace into soaring over the waters. The spirit of a individual is created and in no way destroyed . whilst the physique dies the spirit lives on and is going to the dominion of heaven if the guy had became from their sins (repented) and chosen to maintain on with God.Or to hell if the guy hasn't. plenty greater i could desire to declare in this subject count... The Bible refers back to the soul as your innermost being, what makes you you in essence. be careful on line there is numerous mis guidance. in case you're extremely severe approximately God continuously learn if what you're analyzing strains up with what the Bible says.

A spirit is like a ghost, a physical smoke like being that contains a soul.
A soul is what you sell the devil for cash or musical talent.

I dont think their is a difference. Your spirit is a reference to your soul. YOu soul is that spark inside you, that will to live in this body you occupy. This is why when you die, your will to live is comprimised and you soul leaves your body. Every living thing has a soul. Trees, Flowers, Gold fish even flies. YOu only lose your spirit when you expire.

Soul - spiritual choices, a.k.a. - Life Style
Animals have free spirit. Plants are a part of earths soul.

Just a personal opinion and to speak in parable...it's like the Matrix.
Things that aren't just objects, but are animated (aka alive) have spirits, like animals...
but things that are plugged into the Matrix...have souls, namely people.
Yeah? No? That's how I see it.

Spirits get you drunk, souls haunt you.
The definitions you seek can be answered a thousand different ways, as each religion (and then each subsection of each religion) has its own explanation.
Seek answers in Wicca, as its deviations have been around longer than any other religion, longer than any written language.
