No it would not .The bible is meant to be a fashion of looking out approximately God. it rather is an exceptionally not common element of examine.Alot of it rather is complicated .some human beings get rather weirdo , extremist ,fundamentalist suggestions from analyzing the bible.i are not getting all my ethical suggestions from analyzing the bible .countless the bible morals conflict with my own sense of morality.countless the moral coaching it is written as being good, surely feels incorrect and conflicts with what i've got self assurance is solid and good . it rather is in all likelihood extra valuable if some human beings do not examine the bible because of the fact they're going to easily get at a loss for words and traumatised by potential of what they examine . even nonetheless in case you fairly need to appreciate extra concerning to the Christian God them you are able to examine it yet be very careful with the way you interpret it and what you have self assurance. i don't think each and everything I examine ,the bible risk-free .

The first two generations of Christians - including the apostles - never read a word of the New Testament, since most of it wasn't written yet. And for a thousand years after that, until the invention of the first mass production biblical printing process by Guttenberg, most ordinary people couldn't afford to have a room full of monks write them out a bible.
Being Christian is about worshipping Jesus. Not the bible. As important as the bible is, it is important not to make an idol of it. Many people, especially with reading disabilities or mental disabilities, haven't read the bible. And yet it is as one of these that Jesus tells us we must approach the kingdom of Heaven.

There are several reasons for this attitude. First- Most people are hypocrites. There is a mismatch between what they say and what they actually are, Second- With material prosperity man is more and more attracted to worldly ways and is not interested in spirituality any more. Third- More and more people are realizing that religion is and has been the basic cause for most wars killing and destruction on Earth. Hence they are disillusioned with religion and its concepts.Last- With scientific progress people are questioning age old religious beliefs. They do not want to accept any thing blindly unless scientifically proved.

I would say I am a good example of Christians out there some are more mature Christians than others. Some Christians are like babies that never grow up, they are fed (since they cannot feed themselves) by their preacher or priest, etc. Still they are saved by the blood of JESUS

Without the knowledge of the Bible or not ever having heard the Bible.....there is no way a person
can be saved only through Jesus Christ.. We are
Called to repentance Acts. 2:38 then Baptized in Jesus Name and then we are saved and can call ourselves " Christian"...
Christian derives from the word "Christ like"

I don't think there's any evidence that christians are required to be intelligent or even educated. The greatest growth in christianity these days is in third world countries. That should give somebody a clue regarding the people most susceptible to the faith.

Many people prefer to get their beliefs by what they are told in church, by the priest and older members of their religion. They do not investigate for themselves but trust what they are told.
There is nothing wrong with this, don't forget that until the last couple of hundred years most people couldn't read anyway. There are dangers of course in letting others form your thinking, but there are also dangers in reading stuff that is above your level and coming to wrong conclusions. A combination is best I think.

Religion was used in the early ages to control the population of countries, something like the police force of today. Monarch's used it, even appointing their own popes and bishops to the church even when they were not remotely religious. The bible was written by men, not god! Henry VIII. threw the catholics out of England because the Pope refused to allow him to divorce Catherine of Aragon as he wanted to wed Ann Boleyn. So you see the bible has to be seen as a tool for power as well as religion! King James had it re-written (King James Bible) We must allow for all the so called ' prophets' and holy men as most people could not read in those days and they had to rely on the scribes as they called them to write their letters and read the news out to all the village! So you can guess who owned the news readers! Have things really changed? So the bible started out as a newspaper! and went on from there!!!!!!

Because you don't *have* to read the Bible to be a Christian (aka a follower of Christ). The law will be written on people's hearts, right?
But one of the BEST ways to know Christ is through the Bible. As St. Jerome said, "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ."
