Is it also a good idea?

Asking someone out you don't really know is always hard because you don't know how they will react. In addition to this there is the work issue. Are they over you, equal to you or below you. How will a breakup affect you and them? After you answer and know you can deal with them saying no or if there is a breakup or marriage then start slow. You should have time to see more of what they are like and when the situation allows ask them to lunch or coffee it is safe and you can see if any sparks light up. Good luck and take your time.

You know, i have the same problem. Or maybe the same. But what i do, when i like someone i just avoid them as much as i can. Because if i start crashing I know i will feel like crap because i know it won't go anywhere. But i'm just a big chicken too.

Strike up a conversation, and just ask the person if they would like to join you for coffee, a movie, or whatever it is you have in mind. If you don't communicate, you won't get anywhere in a relationship.

unless u dont express he will not know....thats a must.....and then see how things progress.....dont be shy of the fact that he is surrounded by others.....make your feelings known....and there are ways of letting people know what u feel with out making a fuss of it.

I believe it should start with a smile. Just try to say hello and start a small conversation. I am sure you will see her/him again the next day.
