Most guys don't really care about technique just as long as you don't use your teeth. Don't scrape it or bite it. That would drive him up the wall but not the way you're wanting. All I can say is there's different ways of going it and different things work for different guys. The only way you're going to know what works for your guy is to do it . You will know when you've done something he likes. Here's one bit of advice though. DOn't use just your mouth. Get your hands involved as well.

Of course too...many guys have different sensations in different parts of their peeps. So you might have to try different things to see what works the best on whatever man you are with.
