I'm thankful you want to learn about Jesus and Christianity. I hope what I say will be only a first step for you, and that you'll continue to grow in your understanding.

A Christian, very simply, is a person who has decided to be a follower of Jesus Christ. As you may know, Jesus lived in the Middle East about 2,000 years ago, and after preaching and teaching for about three years, He was put on trial and executed by His enemies. The Bible (our source of information about Jesus) tells us that three days later He came back to life by the power of God, and was taken up into Heaven. Someday He will return to conquer evil and rule over everything in perfect justice and love.

What sets Jesus apart from every other religious leader or philosopher? Simply this: The Bible says He was God in human flesh—completely man, but also completely God. He came to earth for one reason: to reconcile us to God. Sin had separated us from God, but Jesus (who was without sin) took all our sins upon Himself, and He died in our place.

Why did He do this? The Bible says the reason is because God loves us, and He wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever. It says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). I pray that someday soon you too will become Jesus' follower, by giving your life to Him.

I LOVE THIS QUESTION!

1st you have to want to become one......as if you just say'how do I become one'...then if your not really wanting too, from your heart...its hopless.GOD will see thru that.
So lets say you want to.....o.k.
I would start to go to church, pick one like Salvation army...(yes its a church first)..or Baptist.....or Anglican......o.k. Then I would talk after the service, to the pastor...just ''hi I wanted to learn more about becoming a christian''....and he or she will guide you.
Often people go it alone, but Really...you should just go to church...and have a look.
But! I will tell you this, if you do become one...and learn about JESUS...and what He did for you and me.....your life will change.
And not in a bad way, you will become a new person.Plus, its
a great deal of fun...and wonderful people to help, along the way...And! its free......I do hope this has been of some help to you...If you don't like the first church...find another o.k. all the best.

Read the Bible first, to make sure that really is what you want.

Then just believe all of it.

That is all that is required, but you may also want to seek out some other Christians to hang out with, but be sure they do not try to convnice you of what is not written in the Bible. If they do, read the last line of the Book of Revelation to them.

By going to this web site, ask for a bible study.

http://www.watchtower.org/

John 17:3 Knowing God means eternal life.

Apply the things learned,

Pray to Jehovah for forgiveness, dedicate your life to him and get baptized.

Then spend the rest of your life as faithful as our imperfections will allow us.
