I know a LITTLE bit of French, but only a little bit. My favourites are Latin (I don't know why because no one speaks it), French, Chinese, both Spanish, Greek, Italian and that Persian one.

I want to learn it because I don't want to go to be a person who is too lazy to learn a language. And plus it means that I could go to countries and be able to communicate without having the hold a book or play charades.

This is a difficult question as we don't know the reason you want to study a another language. Out of your list the most important one's are German, French, Italian and Spanish. I believe the other languages are not so important and are not commonly used world wide.
If I were to choose between German, French, Italian and Spanish, I would choose German as this is a more popular country and you could use this language in Germany as well as in Switzerland as the Swiss people speak German too.
Also other counties like Spain, Sweden, Belgium also speak German language so this maybe more useful for you.

You should consider something that you could actually use, as if you are not going to use it on a regular basis, you will soon be forgetting the new language. I guess you are from the UK , therefor, try and learn a language of your closest neighbors, which would be France, and or Spanish.
In my case i had to learn quite a few languages as i have been working in many places around the world, amongst others , Japan, China, Iraq, etc etc. I am now trying to get my Arabic to a beter standard, as i am currently working on a contract in the Sudan.
Point is, in many cases, if you want work abroad, you will not be considered for the position if you don"t speak the language

I would learn or I should say will learn Japanese. The reason I picked it is because I have been around a lot of Japanese people in snowboard camp and trade shows and they are pretty cool. Also they are ahead of the USA as far as high tech goes. I cant believe you would want to learn a whole language just because its "sexy" but if thats your thing I think French is best.

Spanish is the second most used in the world (after Chinese).
Italian is sexy and easy, but used only in Italy.
Latin is used in many sciences

I' d go for Spanish.

Persian because it's a beautiful, poetic language. also, it's indo-european, and easier than others to learn. plus, as you learn it you're bound to discover a lot of the depth and beauty of persian culture..... go listen to some persian songs and see how you like it: www.bia2.com, good luck : )
