In case of fire, I would call emergency fire-services if available. If not I would call neighbours to help with water if fire extinguisher is not available. As another measure, is to evacuate all the important issues from the house and if there is anybody unable to move should immediately be evacuated from the house.

I assume you mean a medium or big fire, cause a tiny one, I would try to put out, if safe to do so. my priority would be to save my loved ones. Get them out safe. Then call the fire dept. And since I live in an apt. Building I would use the intercome in the lobby to call all the other tenants and inform them that there is a fire and they need to leave the building.

Everybody should work out a fire drill and ensure it is adhered to but in reality( and I know) when a fire breaks out one person takes control and is looked on as a hero type which is fine as long as people are safe but never put yourself in danger if you are taking control, keep calm and stick with the rules that you have all agreed upon before hand.

I would get all of my family to a safe location, call 911, then try to extinguish the fire. I am a volunteer firefighter in my community and am here to tell you I cannot tell the number of lives that I have seen saved by a smoke detector. If you do not have a smoke detector they are the cheapest life insurance one can have.

Depends on if I am on fire. If I was on fire then I would stop, drop, and roll. If I was stuck in the fire I would freak out and scream a lot while running around.

Holy crap lady! Are you going on your first babysitting job tonight? If so, you ought to reconsider!

And fancy being 17 and not knowing what to do if a fire breaks out!
