How to stop a toothache is dependent on the cause of the toothache. Despite popular belief cavities are not the only possible cause of toothache pain. Toothaches can be caused by something as small as particles of food caught between your teeth. Or the cause can be caused by a more serious problem such as; dental abscess, fractured tooth, dead tooth, gum disease, TMJ syndrome or tooth eruption. It could be that pain is caused by a problem outside the mouth such as; sinus problems, ear infections or even your heart! Angina is a heart problem that can cause toothache pain, even though nothing is wrong with any of your teeth.

How to stop a toothache is largely dependent on the cause of the tooth ache. Some problems can be diagnosed and cures with relative ease. If the problem is within the mouth, a thorough dental examination will include x-rays and those will allow a dentist to see the problem. The more serious the problem causing the pain is the more serious the solution will be. A cavity is relatively easy to fix with a cavity filling. Some problems will require root canal therapy in order to completely remedy. In the case of a dead tooth the only solution is a tooth extraction.

If you want to learn how to stop a toothache before you go to the dentists office there are a few solutions. A famous natural remedy for toothache pain is oil of cloves. Simply pour the oil of cloves into a cotton ball and place it near the source of the pain. Over the counter drugs can also relieve pain until your dental appointment. Aspirin, Tylenol and ibuprofen can provide significant relief. Drugs such as vicodin and percocet must be prescribed by a doctor for use, so they're no good till after your appointment. It is important to remember that these remedies can only offer temporary relief from pain.

You could try giving her some children's Motrin or ibuprofen. Not Tylenol. Tylenol won't hurt, but it won't help a toothache. Make sure she brushes her teeth consistently and get her to the dentist as soon as possible.
Cavities don't usually hurt unless they are abscessed. The dentist will have to give her antibiotics until he can clear that up. Then he will most likely pull the tooth if it's that bad. Good thing it's a baby tooth, huh? Give her a hug for me, toothaches are the worse!

visit a dentist as soon as possible. but until then you can get her any painkiller that you usually get her when he is sick.such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen.1 spoonful of it every 6 hours will be enough.the dentist will do a kind of root canal therapy ( we call it pulpectomy in children) for her. but in some conditions it is needed to extract the teoth. but pay attention that dentist should make a space maintainer for her to avoid her teeth become crowded in the future.

go to the dentist as soon as possible... maybe the infection has aggravated to an extent that it needs some filling... check if there is some swelling around the tooth.,.. give her some antibiotic syrup and painkiller and she's 2 young so the dentist can be the perfect guide at the moment...
