Self funding by stealing off others and laundering the money through Switzerland.
Sorry if this offends people. It is a fact. I do this for a living.

I agree with "LurkingGherking". I also have heard that the Nazi party recieved money/funding from certain political parties in the US. Makes you wonder why it took the US so long to help aide. Anyways, I could be completly off...but I swear I saw it somewhere.
But a lot of their funding didn't really come from funding at all, more like stealing from piliged Holocaust victims.

That is a good question. You must remember they were taking over whole countries so could steal assets from there but as you say someone must have been funding them as well. Probably it was coming through Switzerland from the people who put their wealth in Swiss bank accounts including I suspect a lot of Jews

Sadly enough a proportion of the Nazis funding came through assets etc taken by the state from German Jews... bit of a bummer funding your own downfall and holocaust.

I have read that the Nazi party recieved funding from U.S. bankers with right-wing political views during their rise to power. But I doubt that they were receiving any kind of external funding once the war was in full swing. Other than the seized assets of holocaust victims.
