As an Evangelist i am preaching the Gospel and winning lost souls for Christ.
I am always interested in peoples views on what it would take to fill our Churches once again and make a stance on other prominent emerging religions ie Islam, New Age etc.

Looking back on the history of christianity, it is possibly the most EVIL organisation there has ever been and people like you want to perpetuate it. You are either brainwashed, a power seeker, evil or just crazy. You only want to discredit other religions to promote your own. If you had been born in a Muslim country you too would be a Muslim. In a Hindu country a Hindu etc. Religion has nothing to do with the truth it's about what culture you are born into.

Intelligent decent people don't need religion or evangelists. Most of the trouble in the world, past and present, is caused by religion.
The world will be a much nicer peaceful place when people such as yourself are no longer around.

P.s. The titles of 'The Christ' and 'The Messiah' were ONLY held by the rightful King of Jerusalem.

Be patient and courageous to accept that we in Evangelism do not possess the Last Truth, The Only Truth. Like there are several other Books, all proclaiming to be THE BIBLE we might as well give respect, credence, and a time to study the others. Then there are gems of Wisdom, Beatification, and Bliss scattered throughout the Globe. Pick up those. Let us never diaparage and disrespect any 'other' religion, including Islam. There may be some pearls in their possession, otherwise they would not be growing.* Discard Secularism and Democracy . Remember: mylord Jesus was always in a minority, and he did never submit to the 'majority'. Secularism is to be discarded in favour of religious commandments and advices of religion's elders. If some 'scientific' data proves the natural-being of sins like homosexuality, discard the science. Einstein did not accept every word of Newton... the science is an ongoing study, not a last word. In the Church, celebrate God... God the Father.. Mylord Jesus worshipped God, we worship Jesus- the Exalted. May worship Allah. It is proved that Jesus did not speak English. He spoke Aramaic. In Aramaic, the Name-word is Allah and not God. For the millions who study their Bible in Arabic only(and never in English), the Name-word Allah appears once in the very first line, twice in the second line, then for thousands of time in the following pages. The youth among the Evangelists have become allergic to the word:Allah, and, exposing their spiritual poverty, disparage the Name-word. The youth have to be groomed, in the Church; they shall be the Church-leaders tomorrow. Finally, please reflect and meditate.

Getting them to church is easy, just entice people in with anything that grabs normal human interest. I.E. X-box 360's for the younger people, big screen TVs to watch the football on, bars with a sticky dance floor and possibly some scantly clad dancers (male and female to be fare).

As for getting them to believe something that has never been proven and lets face it, after 2000 years of trying I guess it never will, I couldn't say.

By the way what you have said "make a stance on other prominent emerging religions " who's right and why? and if you think you have the answer prove it with more than words in a book.

However, you are entitled to your views so good luck with your quest. We all have to believe in something!

you know what, its not the people who are not listening any more. The problem are the churches do not feel like a place to go worship or a place to go empty out your sins any more, its more like business or a place to critic others. You want to know how to win lost souls for Christ? start from the inside, start by correcting the mistakes in the church, start by teaching them start acting like Christians they should not be condemning other for what they do but to help them through. to be a christian is not a religion its a way of living, by giving proof with your life that you are what you say you are.

don't take this comment the wrong way but I know what I'm talking about I grew up as a christian going to church and all but, I'll tell you these I'm a much better christian now that I don't go to church then before its sickening to see all the hypocrisy in the church

Jesus preached about 'Charity and Love' both sadly missing from society today.
Since the assassination of JFK, when the world saw the Arms Trade take over the White House, they began to lose faith.
This led to an increase in the spread of war and famine across the globe, where we effectively now live in a state of ongoing war.
The world is seeking the Light of Truth and merely awaits the right One to take the lead.
It is NOT islam, a religion of the lost.

I don't think that anything will revive Christianity. I hope not anyway - more people have died in the name of religion than anything else. Also too many "Christians" have this need to try to ram their religion down everyone else's neck. Anyway, whats all this crap about churches. Christ never preached in a church or if he did it's not mentioned in any of the Gospels in the bible.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions like this.

You are preaching "your gospel" you mean and it sounds like you are playing a numbers game...why don't you stick to Sudoku and leave people alone, there are too many of you guys already so I'd say stop trying to dominate everyone and attempting to make them the same as you... it sounds Satanic.

You sound to be the one who's lost their soul and identity and you are running away from your own problem by projecting this onto others....seek within!

Bribery as per normal for the church ?.

Just tell all the murderers and thiefs and violent people that it will always be ok for them to do evil acts against humans and of course the other animals in this world from Monday to Saturday, and they can nip down the local evangelist church, get them to bung the preacher some money gained from the weeks evilness and get absolved of all evil.. ready for the next weeks bought of death and destruction.

Those that shout most innocence are generally the ones that gain most from other peoples wrongdoings.

If God had ever existed then he would be turning in his grave looking at what you lot are doing 'in his name' .

To be honest; cut the human race some slack. People aren't going to join a religion in which you can't have sex, can't be angry, can't work on Sundays, can't not work on any other day, etc. Also, total death count:

the LORD:2,270,365 (not counting the thing where he killed everyone in the world in Genesis 7:21-23)

Satan: 10

Would you worship someone/thing that smites willy-nilly? Also note that the bad guy here only punishes BAD PEOPLE.

In short to get more christians, rewrite the bible.....again.

I liked Neylly A's answer best. I think she's on the right track, but would really love her to attend my own church, she's got so much to offer to others. And would become such a valuable asset.
What it takes to fill our churches is love. We need to sort ourselves out, to really desire a close relationship with Jesus, to fully submit to him. And then to work on our relationships with other Christians. Then HE will add to our numbers! If we think we can do this by our own efforts, we're making a big mistake. Let's follow closely Jesus' two commandments first, and place ourselves totally under God's will. Then we'll see God at work...
