my favorite for mass-marketed chocolate is the Hershey's Special Dark bar...no B.S., just the most chocolate that can be packed into a fun-sized bar.

Godiva Chocolates (US) are VERY good, but expensive and not usually sold at the local candy store. They are more often found at upscale department stores, or at Godiva shops.
