well is he in there for long term or short term? and what for? Is he even concious?
from what you have said the best I can say is try to be there for him get him a teddy bear and some flowers. but realize to you still have to go on with your life. cry in front of him if you have to but dont over power things with you crying remember he is worse off then you and dont feel sorry for youself or him just help the best you can. And dont give up on him. if hes going to be in there for a while visit as often as you can.

doesn't matter if you cry in front of him, I was in hospital last year in a bad way after a bike accident and an ex cried in front of me and in a funny way it made me stronger and braver to make sure she didn't get upset. Just be there if you can.

well crying won't work so have a look at some jokes in the entertainment section and tell him a few. at home try prayer and positive visualisation. my fella is poorly too and the jokes sometimes help me to keep it together. best wishes for his speedy recovery xM

Go see him as much as you can. Spend time sitting next to him.
I would not leave the side of my g/f if she was in hospital. Just be there for him.
He will love that.

Be there for him it works like a charm. Make sure he knows you care and you are ready to help him. If you intend to cry do it out of his sight it will only make things worse.

Don't ever fake emotions because you think it is called for or if you think it'll bring you closer or because you want their attention. Be you, if your reaction is not to cry, then thats how you react. Be you!Trust me, you'll look back and think, WHY?
Hope your boyfriend gets well soon.
