Voice does not travel as it is.
It is first converted to electrical signals and then applied ton one end of the wire. the signals get carried to the other end by conduction. On the other end its converted back to voice.

voice does not travel.ur voice is converted into electrical signals and these signals are transmitted through wires and at the receiving end they are converted into voice,using a speaker via amplifier.
