It is interesting why Mars is depicted as the god of war.
From the crators on the surrounding planets it is likely that the gravitational conflict between the earth and mars caused the collisions of asteriods in our solar system.
But if the greeks knew all this - then it implies that there are earlier records - but from where?
God - aliens - previous civilizations? Who knows.
