I have never been camping in my life but my boyfriend has just bought a touring caravan. So instead of doing the usual next year and going to spain, we have decided on the south of france, were there is a beach available. And quite NEAR TO disney. I am just looking for somewhere pretty, clean cheap and cheerful. Could you also tell me how long from the north east to france it would take by touiring the caravan and how much are the sites a night. tHE SITE WILL HAVE TO CATER FOR CHILDREN 12, 10 8. aNY INFORMATION REGARDING FIRST TIME CAMPING WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED. COUNTY DURHAM ( PETROL TO FRANCE AND BACK, HOW MUCH WOULD THAT COST ALSO ROUGHLY ON A 2LITRE DIESAL )

Isn't Disney near Paris, in the North of France? And you want to go to the South of France? I'd check an atlas if I were you, dearie! France is a big country.

Good sites all over the south of France but Holiday Green at Frejus is a very good one. Didn,t know there was a Disney in the South, thought it was near Paris. Petrol is very slightly cheaper and diesel is about 2/3rds of the price paid in UK. Motorway tolls are expensive, the RAC can tell you the actual cost. Ordinary roads are free but the journey time can be more than double. Mileage Le-Havre to Frejus about 750.

Disneyland is near Paris which is about 700 km from the extreme south of France.
