What was the worst thing you have done or done to you. I was in Somalia, and it was weird that I survived from 5 different attacks all in the same way, all in every other saturday in two months. A motor rounds attached with a land mine was always what supposed to kill me.

When I came to I phoned the police and I filed a complaint. I haven't seen him since. That was about 6 years ago! I'm not sure if he's AWOL or an MIA?

In Iraq and Afghanistan. But up close eyeball to eyeball, nope.

Mostly I only get out there, go on CAS and CAP missions, except for OIF I, where things got dicey sometimes. Got painted by AAAs and SAMs a couple of times during SEAD sorties but luckily it just ends there.

CAS are more tricky, not because of the opposition, but because of our own guys out there on the ground.

Viet Nam
August 67 , somebody tripped a Daiseychain ( several IED's fused to go off together ) .One second we had a TO Marine Rifle Plt ( 42 ) , then we had 18 still standing .
We came under sniper fire while trying to care for the wounded and had to bring air support within 50 yrds .
It got real HAIRY , real fast.

Yes,i have been in combat.and it's not in the movies, people actually get killed,(5 of my best buddies lost their lives).asking why im doing it? let's just say that im doing it to those who cannot defend themselves.i see to it that they sleep well every night and i will not let harm come to them.not on my watch.
