'Pamela L' I cant believe you dont believe God exists. Where is your proof that God does not exist? You have none do you.
Jesus will come into your heart if you come to him humbly and say "You are the lord, and I will follow you for the rest of my life, so I can have the whole of eternity with you"

What a great question, it's something I have thought about too! And yes I do!! I always spell it with a capital G & J. Sometimes I spell the entire name in cap's!! Others may feel this is crazy, but I understand completly. Its the same with my Bible, putting another book on top of it bothers me. I'm not a fanatic or anything, I just always want to show respect, love and to be humble before GOD!
thank you again for this thought provoking question
Lord Bless!

You have to understand that god isnt the word for the christian deity. Its a description, like deity. When describing the christian deity (YHWH) you are supposed to use capital letters. Most of you dont even know that God was an Assyrian fertility deity, and that Baal (Lord) was a Babylonian deity. You call the Hebrew god by pagan names and wonder why other religions ridicule you.

Nonetheless, its nothing to feel guilty about. I know youve probably quit listening to what I have to say by now, and I most certainly am neither christian or hebrew. Save guilt for when you do something wrong, not for something as ridiculously trivial as spelling a name incorrectly. Any reference utilizing the word "god" is not supposed to be capitalized unless referring to the Hebrew God (which is the deity worshiped by Christians, Jews, and Muslims).

Yes, all the words God, Lord, Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Baha'u'llah..., I mean all the Names of God and the Names of His Divine Messengers should be written with capital letters.

Don't listen to most of the people here. Your reward will be great in heaven and make all this world and things you put up with, worth it all. I do know what you mean about capitol letters, I am always careful but might make the mistake and would in no way want to dishonor GOD! He knows how much we love him but sometimes we want to shout it..... WE LOVE YOU GOD!

I am sure God doens't mind so much about how you spell than about how big he is in your heart. That sort of guilt isn't necessary, God loves you anyway.God bless you too. Esther.

I do feel guilty...a lot!

I mean, I feel like, Jesus did so much for me... can't I even give him a little respect.

So, then I pray to him, and ask him for forgiveness. Then I feel better.

God bless you too.

Yes, if I accidentally type a small g for God, then I always go back and correct it, for He is worthy of all respect, and praise!
God Bless!

I know what you mean and I agree. I'm sure He don't mind though. But you know, when referring to the One who is higher then the highest height, the One who is King of kings and Lord of lords, it is so easy to capitalize anything referring to Him!
