Take control, be assertive, you are quite entitled to do whatever you feel is best for yourself BUT you must also know that whatever the outcome you must bear the consequences.
If you choose to mention things of this nature in public is inviting such response.
Should you feel embarrassed- that is entirely up to you as it depends on your real reason for taking that course. By your reaction it has had in you, it seems you could have an ulterior motive.

What sort of brain-dead mor**s do you work with? It sounds as though they would not be capable of participating on Y! Just lie and tell them you wanted to see how fast they spread the news so you would know how much you could really trust them with something serious if you needed to. Just tell them it was a razz to get them worked up and leave it at that and do your e-mailing from home not from work.

Ah just tell them that if they saw the picture they'd be emailing him too!
Just ignore it - if you rise above it and not react to their slaggings they'll soon get bored with it! And NO you shouldnt be embarrassed - we all do it!

don't make it a big fuss, it's really no big deal if you just played cool about it...the more you say something, the more they'll ask or mock you...it'll just calm down...it's nothing to be embarassed about...you can find true people here just try to discern which one is..
