It depends on what they did in the wordly life, and whether their faith was truly pure in Islam.

If they were true believers, and did good deeds, Insha-Allah they will enter Heaven, as Allah said so in Qur'an.

But did you mean who willingly avoided marriage? No, that's Haram. Not marrying is a great sin. If they did such sin and didn't repent sincerely, their fate depends on Allah's will.

If you are serious about this question, I am happy to answer.

If you believe in the day of judgement, and believe in a life in heaven. Then you will believe me if I tell you that your reward in the hereafter will be a ' houri '.

I'm not sure how to translate that for you into English, but I can tell you this, if you are really want to be rewarded in the hereafter you will have to be either a virgin or married in a legal way. In other words you can't be having a "good time" with someone then expect to be rewarded in the hereafter, all religions believe that. That's the best I can say. good luck.

Why are you only interested in responses from "learned Muslims"?

Anyway, it would depend on what deeds committed while living in this present incarnation that might violate Islamic law. If any indiscretions occurred, most likely 77 virgins will not anxiously awaiting their arrival. Martyrdom will probably not be acknowledged or rewarded. One must remember the Koran was written my only one prophet, Mohammed, and if he wanted his religious movement to continue to prosper he had to put all its lessons in writing. Since Mohammed's death, (as with the Christian Bible) interpretation greatly alters the true content, so I question the validity of virgins and heroic martyrdom..
