I am still raising my son, he is 7 years old. So far I think I have done a great job. I am a single mum but have great support from my family so am able to work.

There are two things I wished I didnt do...

1: buying him something every time we went to the shops. Now he loves to buy stuff and every week he gets a dvd or a small toy.

2: letting him get away with not eating his vegetables. Now I have a fussy eater and its killing me.

Those two things are simple things and will not make him a bad adult. .. he has been taught right from wrong, respect of others and for himself. He is a sweet boy that loves his mum and that in itself will make him a great man.

My children tell me they had a great childhood. The only thing I would change,is how parental duties were divided by sex. My husband was our son's baseball coach and I was the dancing school mother. We should have tried to divide our time equally between our children. That's the way things were done years ago. p.s. My "children "are 41 & 38.

yes i would change a few things i have done in raising them I have a 20yr old and a 17yr old both girls i would have not let them move out of home as early as they did and would not have really spoilt them as much as i did they only had to ask and they got what they wanted don't get me wrong but they didn't turn out to be obnoxious kids and i love them very much but that's would i would change if i had to change anything

Yes I would. I would have spent more time with him while he was younger rather then working so much. I should have been there to teach him what was wrong and what was right instead of relying on others to teach him that. I was wrong, and i cant take that back.
