God belief is the result of fear, ignorance or both.

Ignorant people invented Gods to explain the unknown. That practice continues today.

"I don't know" is interpreted to mean "God did it" by those who believe in a Supreme Being. And that belief relies on ignorance, not indoctrination.

I do not, I beleive that belief in the church system and the rules they have devised is the end result. Faith in something comes independently without the church as well as a lack of faith, we see many atheists from religious backgrounds as well as born again christians. So faith is hardly the crisis needing to be taught en masse. But the church has rules to follow to keep it in business. It wants people to do these thigns because they think the church is telling them to, which keeps them coming through their doors and gives them more power.

Belief in God has nothing to do with religion. There is not a religion on this planet that teaches you to believe in God, they teach belief in God's messengers or prophets, except the christians they say that their messenger "IS GOD." but he is Christ who never claimed he was God. And I challenge anyone to show where he says he is,

Belief in God is built in to all of us. We just choose not to believe because we want to live however we choose and not feel any guilt. But we cannot plead ignorance at the great white throne judgement.

I belive in god and I was never indoctrinated, and I belive in god in a different way than my parents and religious peers did growing up.

I don't belive in god out of fear, or anything like that, I don't belive in a hell as such, and I don't belive in my God out of lack of information, its more of a that I've observed that it does indeed exist.
