I have been going out with this guy for the past four years. I love him to death, but he hasn't graduated high school yet. (He is 23). I have stressed to him how important that it is to me for him to have an education. I am in college and am planning on attending law school. How long should I wait for him to get his act together? Or am I just stupid and he will never grow up?

23?! Well, urge him to finish it and set an ultimatum. Tell him that his future is important to you and that if he wants to still be with you, he should finish his education so that he can have a better future!

Now if he tries his best, and still does not succeed, he can try again. But if he does not try his best, and lies, and fails, you know that he is incapable of it/does not want to complete it and will not grow up. Maybe if you left, he would realize what he is missing and work harder... But that's a very drastic measure, don't do it at first

you could wait a lifetime for this guy to get it together. Question is do you really want too... do you think you are wasting your life waiting.. He is 23 and hasnt finished high school ask your self, how far in life is he going to get with no motivation. Is that someone you are willing to spend your life with.

I think you should wait another 23 mintues for him to get his GED. If he does not present his GED to you in the next 23 minutes, them dump him.

You are going to law school and are about to be part of the elite crew. Leave the uneducated behind, and find a better fish in the see. ( at least one with a GED) its a cruel world, but i didnt make it or the rules.

Good luck to you
