I know many parents on drugs, and telling there own children not to do drugs..I always thought,
you should be a good example for your children!!
I know many adults with children like to come home and relax, so they sneak behind there own children and do drugs themselves..I believe if you want your children not to go on drugs, the parents should not be on them either..I am from the old school, where there were no drugs like now that I am aware of anyway..So would like to
know your feedback on drugs and why drugs
seem to be part of many famlies?

i am unsure of what old school u r referring to? i am 34 yrs old both my parents used drugs regularly and i began at age 15 i am not proud to say i still use them and as sad as it is my 3 children know when i am on drugs and they are the true survive-rs of the turmoil i have cause in our lives with my drug use,, its a terrible reality to live but life has a way of going were we never intended it to. i do not blame my parents i only wish drugs and crime had not been so acceptable in my family.. there are many addicts who's parents never did a single drug just as there are many people who have never used who's parents were addicts.. i believe it is all about the company you keep... watch your children's friends and know who they are with and were... it could effect there entire life..

I just read a report that said the baby boomer generation did more drugs than this current generation. So the reason so many of these parents do drugs is because they were from an era which saw a lot of open drug use, the 70s, etc. Kids these days are doing drugs less, according to the newspaper. The parents are just continuing habits they formed at earlier ages.

My best friend mom does Rocks COOKED COCAINE and she has 3 other children all of younger ages and she been in rehab several times but she never seems to stop... My friend and her siblings ended up living with there grandmother... She also prositutes her self just to support her habit. The reason many parents there self get on drugs is either because they had kids at a young age had thier own stressful life growin up no father around for there children dead end jobs low self-esteem and hardly no education and these parents are victims of the ghetto themselves Many of there parents bieng immigrants... I think this is very sad and upsetting but it is something in life that tends to happen in more families than i can count...

First of all, everyone has free will and it isn't right to force our own views, values, or conduct on to anyone else, including our children.
Now, I don't believe in lying, especially to your children, and I have never agreed with anyone else lying to their children, but that was never my place to interfere with them.
There are more people on presciption drugs now days than hippies on acid in the 60's. And most of these people are someone's parents.
I think to each his own.

It is not acceptable.It is very wrong.My sister
has to take care of my cousin because my aunt goes from motel to motel smoking crack.I despise parents who do drugs.They would do best to go to rehab and be loving responsible
parents.

i am totally 100% against drugs so parents who do drugs their is something wrong with them. kids are smart and they do figure these things out ...........like they say...... PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH. i agree with you
