I just wipe mine down with a damp towel, I never use soap because it leaves a residue on the iron.

The outside does not need to be cleaned, but you can wipe it down with a wet cloth when it is unplugged. The Irons should detach from the outside. You can wash those by hand or machine. Just make sure they are dry before putting them back in to the electric part.

Depends if its non Stick or not. Non stick irons just need a wet cloth wipe. If it's not non stick, I'd get some warm soapy water & a tooth brush.

Get a neighbor-kid, tell him how good your waffles are;
show him pictures of sports players and tell him they eat waffles before each game for luck;
print a pamphlet on the health-benefits of waffles;
print another pamphlet on the aphrodisiac qualities of a good waffle;
show him how to make his first "waffle cone";
pay him a quarter;
that should be enough to get your waffle iron clean.

I guess it is non-stick, so, let it cool completely, then just wipe it off with a wet sponge or dish cloth
