I would say that "thick soup" as it compares to "clear soup" or "clear broth" is that thick soup is clear soup with some additive such as corn starch which would make it thick. You might consider thick to also mean that pieces of chicken, for example, have been added along with noodles and whatever else you can drop in there. Usually, the only times you generally have to deal with this issue is when a doctor prescribes this "clear soup" diet for digestive reasons, or before some types of testing.

soup = have different kind of food ,meat and vegetable
clear soup = vegetable soup only its dont have meat (if you are chinese you will call it ((clear soup)) but western food not call clear soup, if you call it clear soup that mean your soup always dirty right.
