Computers, radios, and ALL other electronic devices are susceptible to interference by electromagnetic radiation. The wires in the walls, cell phones, portable CD players, and anything else that has electricity moving through it will emit a signal, and receive others as well.
The solution is better insulation for the computer, monitor, speakers, etc., or just keep the cell phone further away. This is why hospitals ask persons to turn off their cell phones as they can interfere with instruments/equipment vital to patient care.
In a science laboratory, rooms are constructed with shielding built into the walls, special wiring, and many instruments are isolated to prevent this interference that causes erroneous readings.

A mobile phone gives off a magnetic field when on. when it is activated IE you phone out or have an incoming call. the antenna has a high increase of magnetic field known as S.W.R. short wave Resistance which can be measured with a meter. that can be harmful to other appliances, or just can be picked up as an interference on low levels, which the mobile phone is. whether higher shielding wire might work, depends on how close you are to the appliance at the time of the phone call. with the like of a computer that is poss able but with a stereo radio, that will always interfere

Get shielded speaker wire. The cheap stuff can act as an antenna.
