In plain english how do you tell what a bootstrapping circuit does and how it does so ?
Also where is the circuit used ?

I think that bootstrap circuits may used in design labs on bread boards. They will not appear on ready made consumer electronics. At least that's my interpretation of your question !Lets see if the other contributers have any suggestions !Pete
PS To me a bootstrap circuit is a temporary circuit just fitted in until a better design is settled on !!!
