If you could depart ONE piece of wisdom to parents today, what would that be and why?

Slow down & take time for your child. One day & it will get here sooner than you think and they will be grown and gone. Whats a min. of your time away from the tv or somethen else to spend a special moment with your child. They & you will always remember it. Always tell them you Love Them & Show it to them by listening to them no matter what it is.

To be a parent and not a friend to your child. You can be a friend later but during the formative years they look to you for guidance, stability, wisdom, and to set boundaries. Friends really can't do that effectively, only parents can. And to the poster above me, YES there are MANY grandparents on this site. What, did YOU think only YOUR AGE GROUP used Yahoo? Rhetorical.

spend time with your grandkids love them play games with them if you dont have heaps of money to take grandkids out create some fun have a picnic in the local park set up a tent in the backyard make out you are going camping but most of all be there for your kids and love them as life is too short

It would be to cherish every moment that you can with your baby/toddler, because they really do grow up fast... & you can't go back into the past to get the joy that you may have missed out on.
