Everyone makes God out to be someone who loves and wants peace with his children! Well if he is all about love and peace then why are most of the wars about different religious beliefs and "God"??

And another thing why is it that innocent children are starving to death over in Africa, but people that have done disgusting crimes like rape, murder and other things live lives with money, food and shelter? where is the justice in that? "God" is letting good people die and suffer but letting bad people live a good life!
Our so called father in heaven loves us all, I guess he doesnt love the children in Africa enough to save them!!

Im not saying God isnt real im just looking at it a different way!
What are your views on this??

Sorry another two questions...............
Does god think of us all as equals?
Are there any female prohets?
And if God wants us to be happy then why is it a "sin" to love someone of the same sex? Even if it is true happiness it is still a "sin" in most peoples eyes!

I am not religious, I personally have to see, and experience something before I put all my faith in it. I always say, I don't believe or disbelieve, I simply just don't know if God exists. I do know this, God doesn't start war, people do. Some people are ignorant, and cruel and judgmental. I do believe that if there were a God, he or she would certainly be disappointed in the way his or her children have behaved and treated each other. There is so much suffering and pain in this world, it is hard for me to believe that a God who supposedly can work miracles would allow people to suffer and treat each other with such cruelty. Just food for thought...

You might have a point there if it were God waging war. But it's not, it's people. So why do you hold God responsible for something people do? Just because people say that they are fighting for God doesn't make it true.

As for why God allows innocent people to suffer and die, while the "bad" people live a good life - this question has been answered many times before. It's a question of perspective. If you think this temporary physical life is the only important thing, then it's really a good question. But if you realize that for God, those people are alive and well and living with Him in Paradise, maybe they are the lucky ones.

First of all, God is not involved in any wars, and further, no war is wedged for a religion. That is the excuse given to the naive. Each and every war in history, was for influence, and for the political and economic advancement of the aggressor, from ancient times till today.

Secondly, your idea of a "Justice" as you relate it to the starving children in Africa and to the evil people in the lands of plenty, is again based on very short term human ideas about Justice. Divine Justice is more thorough than that. How can you know that the most suffering child in Africa today is not the re-incarnated most evil person of the land of plenty from the years gone by?

If you want to learn about perfect Justice and understand how Divine Justice works, perhaps you may read "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. But be rest assured, God gives everyone exactly what they deserved!

ALL wars are about survival and quality of life. They are fought over space for a population, power, natural resources or the threat of having those taken away.

God is used to manipulate the masses into giving up their lives in the pursuit of these goals. “If God be with us then who can stand against us?” God is used to rally the people behind a cause by rationalizing the righteousness OF that cause.

When we can get everyone to understand this we can put an end to God being used as an excuse to kill. WHY would a God that created everyone want some of that creation to destroy other parts of the same creation? There is NO rational answer to that question.

You're right almost all the wars are said to be fought in God's name. Ministers and Clergy men even bless the troops. That's not what God wants. He said not to kill people. It goes against His will, but yet people think they can justify these actions. It's one of the signs that Jesus mentioned at Matthew 24:6-8: " 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress."

The world is the way it is because Satan is the one ruling the world. People are reflecting Satan and his wicked ways. 1 John 5:19: " 19 We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one." Also, Revelation 12:9: "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him." Right there it says he's misleading the earth. Will there ever be an end to it? Yes.

Psalms 37:9-11: "For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. "

Also, Psalms 46:9 "He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth.
The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces;
The wagons he burns in the fire. " Clearly there will be an end to war. But, how will this be accomplished? God's Kingdom .

Daniel 2:44 “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite"

Actually the atheists have caused the most bloodshed in the history of the world. Atheist communism has killed 150 million people in less than 100 years and its death toll is still climbing. Religious wars haven't even claimed a fraction of that.
The suffering of Africans is caused by man not God. Africa could easily be a prosperous place if it weren't for all the little tin gods who run almost every country and the people's tolerance of them.
God helps those who help themselves and so far the Africans have chosen not to help themselves.

Well, I don't know about you but I've been to Africa. As a Christian, with Christians, supported by Christians, we built sanitary houses for people who needed thim and we ate and talked with them. It was a month long trip. The country was Malawi. It is the third poorest in the world. The people were not starving. They are subsistant, but it could be better. They have no shoes, etc. You can go too. Make a difference.

By the way Christanity is very popular in Africa and it contributed to ending tribal wars. Malawi was very Presbyterian. That continent will soon be the one with the most Christians in the world.

Why does everyone say wars are about religion. Maybe everyone should read about wars.

Wars are about buildings, lands, resources, people (slaves).

War of 1812 was not about Religon.

America Revolutionary war was about Taxes and Representation, not about Religion.

World War I about conquest of lands and expension.

World War II About taking back the Rhine, taking back all the land Germany once had in the 1700s. Then taking the rest of the world.

Korea about Communims Vs. Democrcay

Vietnam, Communisim Vs. Democracy

1967 Six Day War, about removing the Zionist Menance from Palestine.

Afghanistan is about finding the Terrorist leaders and organiation taht blew up the World Trade Center

Kuwiat was about pushing Iraqi invaders out to liberal the Kurds and their OIL fields.

Iraq is about a staging base, Saddam and Oil Fields.

Lebanon is about getting a Isralie Soldier who was kidnapped back.

None of this has anything to do with relgion, if it did we'd force Iraq to delcare themselves a Christian nation, instead they have Islam in their consittuiton.

because men like to believe God is on their side.. God doesnt cause wars, or create poverty, or allow children to starve to death--men do now, how can i still say God loves them and yet He allows these things to be?? because it is my strongest belief, that God (because He is God) ...will give all those that had their lives extinguished early...all those that were raped and murdered...all those that died because someone else decided what He wanted.... their lives back and then some ... its not a big trick for an omnipotent being to do that... all those injustices ---will be corrected --He gave His word on it... I know many will tell you there is nothing God cant do-- but thats not true--- He cant lie and He cant go back on His word--- trust in Him and the world will not seem so ugly
