The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints (AKA Mormons) are very active in the communites of all southwest states. Being a former resident of Golden Valley, 25 miles away, any ward of LDS would be happy to accept your donations. Also, that is the land of swap meets. Whether you choose just to donate or participate in being a vendor, either one is a good alternative. One more piece of information: there are food giveaways several times a month, perhaps they can direct you to the proper agencies or people that would be happy to accept your donation.

Have you tried freecycle.org? Their website lets you post things you have in good condition to give for free to others who want it in your area (you can also look for stuff for yourself if you wanted).

How about trying to e-bay or Amazon your items? It's also a good way to get rid of things, and sometimes makes you some cash on the side.

Craigslist might relieve your burden as well. You can post anything there, free or for purchase.

If you have any used clothing stores around you (like Buffalo exchange) they might take your clothing. Also, restaurants might be able to take kitchen appliances and such. Try calling around.

Maybe you can ask some local churches.
Whatever you do, good luck and many thanks for not just dumping it in the trash where it will add to post consumer waste and increase to landfills. You Rock!
