There is someone whom I am crazy for, and have been for some time. We are friends, but don't share the same social circle, nor do we see each other any more. There was a time two years when we did, but asking her out then was out of the question. She was fresh out of a bad three year relationship. She is still in my thoughts, but I don't feel comfortable calling her out of the phone and asking her out.

Don't ever tell her that she's the most beautiful girl you've ever seen. For one, chances are she's heard it already. Two, once you do that you've handed over all your power and eliminated any possibility for mystery on your part.
Talk to her like she's your bratty little sister. You like her and care for her, but she's also kind of a pain in the ***. If she's especially beautiful and used to guys fawning all over her, she'll go out of her way to get your attention and approval.
If you really want to get into that frame of mind though, the best thing to do is to go out with another girl or two before you talk to her, so you're approaching it as if she's the only chance you have.

if u really like her n ur totally crazy for her... y aren't u COMFORTABLE around her?... isn't that the basics of likin sum1? n it's just on the fone 2... if asking a girl out on the fone isn't ur style then do it in real life -which i highly recommend ANYTIME rather then on the fone-
the best way to get her to truly believe that she's beautiful is if you told her face to face... keep ur gaze on her... on her eyes... the windows 2 her soul -cliche but cliche w/ truth- make her believe w/ the tone of ur voice... w/ the touch of ur hands -softly- and w/ the look in ur eyes... u need to tell her how u feel b4 u lose her 4 good... u never know how many other ppl r out 4 her heart... how many other ppl wants her 2... fight for her... if she's worth it... u'd do it

I knew my husband 7 years before we came clean with our feelings and finally started dating. It took so long because it never seemed to be the right time. We only dated a little over a year before we got married. Long story short, come clean with your feelings because you never know. I know it takes a lot of courage. If it makes you feel better, I had to tell my then-friend now-husband that I liked him as more than a friend over instant messenger. :) Good luck!

Meet up with her and tell her how you feel. It might be the best thing you ever did. If it's not then you won't have to wonder anymore and you can move on and be with another beautiful woman.
