Good people doing a dangerous job. Some making the ultimate sacrifice for the community they protect. The scenario we all fear every time we put on our uniform takes place daily.

I'm glad this was posted here so some of the morons that frequent this section will see the sacrifice that officers make to protect the public.

I extend my condolences to the families of these brave officers and to the departments they served.

I heard the news about Deputy Williams, and can't even express the feelings. Today was a very bad day for those in the law enforcement family.

Officer Keith Houts - Shot in the line of duty today during a routine traffic stop in Montgomery, Alabama. He is in critical condition and not expected to last the night.

Keith is a great guy and a great officer. Not only has he served the public as a police officer, he and his wife are both military reserve and have done tours in Iraq.

The prayers of your brothers and sisters are with you, Keith. Stay strong, and know that no matter what it takes, we will catch the bastard.
