Depends on what you want to do.

If you want to be a top aviator, join the Navy. Landing on postage stamps bobbing in the ocean will qualify you for a good life as an airline pilot. Hell, I'd probably hire you if I could afford it.

Otherwise, it's a toss up. The Marines, the Airbone both rock. Submarine hunting sounds like fun.

Airforce. Well, I don't know. I know a bunch of Zoomies. They can be pretty lame. They don't nut up like the other branches.

That depends on you.

If you want educational opportunities you can take your pick, but I think the Air Force offers the best technical training from a civilian view. I'm retired Air Force, so I tend to favor that service.

But I think you could enjoy and benefit from any of the services. If you want action join the Marines. If you like sea duty join the Navy or Coast Guard. The Army has a lot of specialties ranging from combat to any number of support missions.

I would suggest going around and visiting the recruiters. Also, talk to any of your friends or relatives who are veterans. They'll be happy to tell you what's good and what's bad.

Depends upon what you want to do.

If you really want to goto Iraq and fight - go for the Army or the Marines.

If you don't, look at the Air Force - you can deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan, but it's usually only for 4 months at a time.

You can also look at the Navy, but if you're on a ship, you can be gone for months at a time.

You might also want to figure out what you want to do in the military. There are a number of jobs in the military that aren't "soldier" type jobs, I live on an Air Force base in Japan, and they have bus drivers, guys who do graphics, dentists and doctors, maintenance people, public affairs people, lawyers, even cooks.

Also, do you want to be enlisted, or an officer. To be an officer, you need a degree. Enlisted, you can go straight out of high school. You could look into the ASVAB which I'm pretty positive that enlisted have to take - to see what career fields they qualify for. I don't think officers have to do it.

First, figure out what you want to do - then start looking at that career field in the different branches of the military. Then start talking to recruiters - compare them against each other.

Good luck to you!

The Salvation Army of course! I'm joking so don't freak out. It really all depends on your personality, where you want to go, and what kind of job you'd like to have. If you want to get a good duty station, I think any branch not nicknamed "army" has good duty stations over-seas. If you like to be physical, getting dirty and all that jazz, join the Marines and the Navy. If you like to live luxuriously, join the Air Force(seriously, you'd think their barracks are condos if you compared the barracks at Pope AFB to Ft. Bragg barracks.) There are pros and cons to each branch, just do a little research on your own. Lastly, if you want some nice uniforms, join the marines. I have to give it to my Marine brethren, your dress blues are kick *** to our ugly dress greens.

This is asked a lot here. It all depends on what you want. The post above mine is pretty accurate. What are your long term plans for a career? That would be a help in knowing what service to recommend to you.

You will get allot of different answers on this one. I am in the Air Force. There are many jobs to pick from. I crawl in fuel tanks on aircraft. I have been from one side of the world to the other. I like visiting different countries. Most important I am serving my country because all those before me have done the same. Now it is my turn. I have been in 10 years and don't regret any of it.

Good luck to you and your future.

If you want to be far away from the action, Air Force. if you want to be a grunt, Marines. If you love the ocean, Navy. If not, Army.
