He could just turn off the heat and light from the Sun, draw away our oxygen supply. He would bein the right ;and justly so.In order to achieve our goals, we don't care whom we injure and disregard, and GOD has been more abused or disregarded.

I would regret wasting so much time on worldly things and ask for forgiveness before dying. And would wait for my trial up there.

God is eternal and in Him there is no darkness. He is Love, merciful, unconditional , forever, no matter what. This world is temporary so that does happen to each of us that we stop breathing and pass from this world of time and space.
God has it worked out, through Jesus, that after we die, and later in the Final Judgement, the goats will be separated from the sheep. The ones that follow Jesus as Good Shepherd will be with Him in heaven. God does not reject anyone, but the people that reject Him will be separated from Him, at their own choice.

So don't worry. God never quits. That is one of the differences between God and man. He does work in 'mysterious ways' sometimes, but there is hope, so keep the faith, and be mercifully Loving as He commands through it all.

For an all-powerful being, He/She/It would have to be pretty insecure to be affected that much by what we do.
