Generally you have to gel hair or curl it to do something it does not want to do naturally. Look at how your hair wants to part naturally then work it to the side it wants to go to naturally. What you do is comb your hair straight back when wet then nudge it slightly forward a little at at time from further back to see where it wants to part more to which side to determine how to do the bang and which direction it wants to fall into naturally. I have a cowlick on both sides so mine tends to just part slightly to the left side near the middle for that reason so I just work with it and if I do a bang I do it straight forward rather than fight it. You can curl it for now to get it to do something you want and use some gel to help control it. A good cut that is longer and just tapered a bit at the end can help also. But see if you would look good with a bang first. They have these great programs that are now somewhat inexpensive compared to when they first came out for salons that you can put your photo in then try different styles of makeup, hair color and cuts to get an idea. There are several out there we bought two for the girls to play with for fun.

If they're really short, there isn't much you can do. Short hair is strong hair since there is no weight on it to pull it down, it allows the natural growth patterns to dictate where it will go. IF they are laying straight down, wear them proud. (I know it's hard as heck to do), but it will look better than trying to make them something they're not, then they can look truly riduculous, and will only call attention to them more. In a couple weeks as they begin to get more length start brushing them to the side a bit and hold with some hairspray. You can try that now to see if they will work for you, but if not, just go with it and put on an air of confidence and wear them like you love em, and people will not give it a second thought or they won't be brave enough to say anything.

OH....I just thought, a lot of people who have "baby bangs" look good with the hair above the bangs parted off to the side and the baby bangs falling straight down or else going with the side flow as the rest of the top. Good luck! Be confident!!!!!!!!

this is a really easy quick fix: get a small thin hair tie (those hair rubber bands work good). gather your bangs and hold them straight in the air. put the hair tie loosely around them. kinda like a retarded little pony tail they give dogs. Then put your finger straight through the middle of them (between the rubber band and your scalp). keep the two sides separate and take your bangs (after the rubber band), move them forward, and pull them through the slit in the middle and pull them out the back. when you are done, your bangs will be in a tiny version of that hair style worn many years back where you pulled your hair through with this plastic ring thing. tighten it a little and viola

If there to short pin them back in different ways If they arent that short take them allinto your hans get a small comb and comb through till you get to the end of the short piece put your fingers(middle and index) in the combs place and cut all the way across that will get them perfectly cutt and even Good Luck Sorry about the bang Its happened to me many times I have started doing them myself

I agree with the person above me. You can also wear a head band if you really get sick of them. I think your best bit is to leave them alone and let them grow out, don't cut anything else. Don't worry they will grow out, botched bangs don't seem to take as long to grow out. Good luck.

you should try growing them out first and then tell the hairstylist to sut it two sides so that it doesnt got to the middle of your head.
then you can keep oine side and then take the other saide of your bangs and put it with that side.
it should look great.
